David Payne Construction (DPC) has achieved accreditation with the Office of the Federal Safety Commission (OFSC). The accreditation was achieved on 20th January 2012 after completing a successful audit from the OFSC on 12th January 2012.
The OFSC is part of the Federal Government’s Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). Established in 2005, the OFSC works with industry and government stakeholders towards achieving the highest possible OHS standards on Australian building and construction projects.
The key functions of the OFSC include:
Company Directors David and Melissa Payne are both happy with the result and recognised the contributions made by their staff. “Our staff is the key to our business, Stephen Wonderley and Terry Lyons, along with support staff and the co‐operation of our subcontractors, have done a great job in reaching OFSC Accreditation” comments David “Less than 1% of builders in the country have this accreditation so we are incredibly proud of our achievement and considering our location and available resources, the company has done extremely well to reach this level of accreditation.”
With OFSC accreditation, DPC can now tender on projects that involve certain levels of Federal funding such as Police Stations, Dental Clinics, Defence projects, Education facilities and Health infrastructure. Any project involving federal funding of $3 million or higher requires OFSC accredited builders. DPC can now look forward to having the opportunity to tender on federally funded regional projects including the upcoming Dubbo Base Hospital.
